My marine and mechanical experience extends back to my childhood. My career started while working for Robert
E Derector, an admired yacht builder. While working there, I had the pleasure of working with some of the finest craftsman
in the world, on yachts, power and sail, from eighteen to eighty feet. I moved on to manage my marina in Eastern Long Island.

field inspection includes, hull and deck inspection, engine testing, systens testing and a sea trial. A next day findings
list will follow. My Survey Report includes, a detailed discription of the vessel, full inventory of equipment, location of
thru hulls and bilge pumps, sea trial report, vessel valuation, hull identification, detailed list of findings and recommendations
with digital photos. Most Survey reports run 18-25 pages long.
I moved out to Long Island in 1977
where I owned a full service upscale marina with my brother for over 27 years. Not ready to retire, I attended the Chapman's
School in Stuart Florida for instruction in Marine Surveying and Damage Claims work. I became a member with SAMS, (Society
of Accredited Marine Surveyors) and ABYC, (American Boat and Yacht Council). I have been surveying Yachts and Small
Craft both power and sail mostly on LONG ISLAND and in the northeast region of the United States. I also do damage and claims
work for insurance companies and I am an active member with SAMS, ABYC, BOAT-US and AMI. I attend many conferences each
year and keep up with the latest tools and techniques the industry has to offer.
